Specific research on Smart City

We're working on a specific research on perception of the Smart City concept by the municipalities in Czech Republic. In 2021, in cooperation with the Mendel University, we realized a qualitative investigation in 35 municipalities. The survey investigation was conceived as a directed conversation. Currently, we are finising the evaluation of the primary findings. The first conclusion were presented by Ing. Leonard Walletzký Ph.D at the Work group for Smart Cities at Ministry for regional development on 29.3.2022.

This research will then continue on an international level. We're looking for people interested in Smart City that would want to help.

Application for supporting the gestors

Our laboratory is cooperating with the Ministry for regional development on the implementation of SMART conception. As a part of this cooperation, we are working on an application to support information sharing on a national level (between so called "gestors"). The base analysis for this application was done by Zuzana Schwarzová as a part of her diploma thesis, and now the work is continued by Janka Marschalková as her bachelor's thesis.

We expect that a lot more work will be needed for finishing this application, so if you are interested, let us know.

Smart Services Catalogue

The aforementioned application is just a part of a bigger, complex set of applications, which together create the Smart Services Catalogue. We are working on its realization in cooperation with Czech Smart City Cluster, ISFOR organization and others. The goal is to unify the perspective on activities that are done by municipalities - by using the service approach and knowledge from Service Science.
